1. Purchase specific questions

Q. What is a hardware fingerprint and where do I get it?
A. A hardware fingerprint is a code that uniquely identifies your computer. It is necessary for the purchase of the bot and can be obtained by loading the trial version of the bot and pressing the "Enter Key" button.

Q. Can I get an extra key for my other computers?
A. We used to allow this but we are no longer able to provide extra keys due to abuse and being unable to keep up with the volume of email that was caused.

Q. Can a friend buy the bot for me?
A. Yes. Just run the trial version of the bot on your computer and have it give you your computer's hardware fingerprint. Then just have your friend use that key when ordering and the unlock key received after purchase will be one for your computer. Please make sure that your friend uses your email address to register the key so that you will be listed as the proper owner.

Q. I had to reformat/upgrade my computer and my key doesn't work anymore or I entered the wrong hardware fingerprint, how can I get a new one?
A. Please use the key recovery system at http://www.tibiabot.com/key.php to request a new key. You cannot request a new key very often so make sure that changes made to your computer are final.

Q. I want to use an older version of TibiaBot NG on OT servers but it asks me for a key even though I am already registered.
A. The reason is because older versions use different keys. However by visiting http://www.tibiabot.com/oldkey.php you can request a working key. Also be sure to install older version of the bot in a seperate location so you can use both.

Q. The key system doesn't work for me. It says that I already requested a key recently. What can I do now?
A. Please use submit a support ticket at http://www.tibiabot.com/support/ and we will help you out.

Q. I never received an email for my support ticket. What do I do next?
A. That means your email provider is blocking our emails or it has been filtered as spam. Please check your settings or try a different provider such as Google mail.

Q. When I give my name and key in the enter key window it says it's not valid.
A. Make sure your name is the e-mail adress you bought the bot with. The key is the key you received in your e-mail box.

2. Technical questions

Q. How do I upgrade my bot to the latest version?
A. You must download the newest version from http://www.tibiabot.com/download.php and install it once again over the old one.

Q. Why can't I see underground from the main floor? Is it a bug?
A. No, this is simply how it has to be. There is no way to see what's underground from the main grounds. The server doesn't send this kind of information as it is under normal circumstances unneeded.

Q. How does the Auto-responder work?
A. There is a "default.spk" file in the TibiaBot NG install folder. In order to make an effective and unrecognziable by others script, you have to follow the example and structure of that file to add in your own phrases to the list of responses. You can do so by using the inbuilt editor by going to "Tools -> Responder -> Edit.." in your TibiaBot NG menu. When you make changes you can also test them by talking to the bot without actually logging into Tibia. Simply select Test from the editor menu and you can speak directly to the responder script.

Q. Why does auto fishing stop after a while?
A. It means that the area of water that you are fishing has run out of fish. The auto fisher will continue once more fish spawn or you can move to another area of water.

Q. Why can't I use the Map function?
A. The map function is disabled now. It will return when LordOfWar adds it again

Q. Why does my antivirus program say the bot is a backdoor, virus, suspicious etc?
Every now and then some Anti-Virus programs will falsely detect TibiaBot NG as "riskware", "malware" or even a "backdoor/trojan".
