Tibia Bots

The bot ElfBot was at first created for private war purposes on the PvP-Enforced game world Dolera, where rune exhaust was only one second and battles were thus very time-critical. On Dolera, ressources were rare and the penalty for dying was huge since blessings were absent on PvPe worlds. Sides that were able to overthrow the enemy in one battle were almost assured of the war's victory and control over the server. People would use almost any cheap trick if only it could increase their chances of winning.

ElfBot was born in response to people starting to use aimbots to take advantage of the fast rune-delay and, with it, becoming arrogant and chaotic. Unlike those bots who only had point-and-shoot functionality, ElfBot adopted a whole new perspective in which fights would be seen as a team effort, where the players using it would assist each other and focus on coordinating their attacks on the enemy, and in which a lot of the decision making was shifted onto the bot. An even smaller team equipped with the bot possessed enough devastating power to make the opposition abandon all hope. Rumors of the bot's lethality quickly spread and eventually it expanded onto other servers. Around this time, the development of the bot was discontinued, and NGSoft decided to obtain the rights to expand it further and distribute it under a brand name that combined both NGSoft's pre-established trust and ElfBot's revolutionary ideas and notorious reputation: ElfBot NG.

Due to people mainly being interested in cavebots at the time, ElfBot NG as a war bot only slowly gained in popularity and never received the merit that it deserved. At this point, a decision was made to expand the bot into an advanced cavebot, basing it on the concept of a cave hunting bot which the maker of ElfBot created several years before ElfBot itself. All of ElfBot's current friendly PvP functionality such as hotkeys, advanced healing and on-screen displays was expanded and served as a base for the new upcoming powerful cavebot system, which featured notions only before dreamt of such as smart character movement and advanced targeting of monsters.
